Movie Party

I went to my friend's house for watching the movie with Sachiho on last Saturday! Sachiho doesn't like horror movies because it is scary for her. However, my friend said "I want to watch the horror movie, so please pick up some movies." because he is also scary it. I like horror movies, so I'm happy to help! lol I chose some movies, and we chose "The Amityville Horror (2005)" and "Mirrors 2" in the end. I was not scary but my friends were very very scary, so that was so fun! lol After then, we drank some things. The day was very interesting but we are out of alcohol. However, we really wanted to drink! Then, we began to drink alcohol of cooking but it was very bad taste! It was like sea water taste. We gave up and next, we tried other alcohol but it was also bad! I hate a chocolate but it was like a chocolate taste! Finally, we gave up that. I think that's nice memory but I don't want to drink these alcohol. X( lol

My Favorite Celebration

Hi guys! Today, I will talk about my favorite celebration. ;-)

My favorites are "Ōmisoka" and "New Year's Day" because these days are very amazing! You know when New Year's Day is, but do you know when Ōmisoka is? The day is December 31th, so it is the last day on the year.

When Ōmisoka, almost people buy anything: for example, foods (some people buy expensive foods or go somewhere to eat), tool to clean my house. We should clean my house because to conserve and appreciate. Also, most people spend the time with family or friends or important people for us. Some people eat a "Toshikoshi-Soba (this is Soba)" before come new year. That's Japanese custom.

When New Year's Day, we say "Happy New Year!!" to surrounding people. Some people jump when just come new year's day, so they say "We were not here in earth!" lol I think children become happy on the day because they get some money that named "Otoshidama" from parents or adult of relative. I really loved that when I was child! Haha, I cannot get it now! In the future, I'm looking forward that I give it to someone. Next, most japanese people eat "Osechi" and "Oshiruko," or "Ozouni" on the morning of new year's day. I like it! Next year, we cannot eat these but I cannot wait when come new year in Canada! X)

I went to Commercial Drive because "Car Free Day" held on last Sunday with Sachiho! First, I didn't know about that but I was invited from my friends because they have to do volunteer at there. We have never around Commercial Station, so my friend told us by phone. This festival was very big festival! I bought "Karaage" and "Takoyaki" that bring back memories! That was very yummy! Then, we join my friends who finished the volunteer. We really had fun walking. After then, we went to Downtown for dinner so we entered the beautiful restaurant that named "Juey Burrard" at nearest Burrard Station. I eaten the sharada and the cream pie! Of course, it was yummy! The day was so happy for me! XD

My Accomplishment

To graduate from high school was very very difficult for me than other people because I had left junior high school. First, I went to general high school but I could not graduate the school. Then, I changed to unusually high school. In there, we don't have to go to school every day. We go to school just once a week maximum because there are not general students. For example, there are students who have a not good type, character, career, past, etcetera. Also, there are not general classes so we didn't remember teacher's name. We should study alone all classes because teachers don't help us everything. Maybe to graduate from this school is very easy for general people who go to general school because this school level is very very low, but that was difficult for us. Other people don't think so but I studied so hard. I wanted to get the high school diploma. My goal was to graduate from high school. After then, I could graduate two years late than other people. That was very difficult way but I think that was my first accomplishment. I learned that study is important but it is not most important. Just to study is most important because to study means to try and to prepare for in the future. We should continue study in own life because that will improve yourself. We should not stop the walk.

Shopping in Metrotown & Sapperton Festival

Hi guys! How was your last weekend? I was very fun! I went shopping in Metrotown with my friends. Sachiho and I arrived ahead of time, so we bought the fruit juice for the first time. Large-size juice ("Summer Strawberry") is mine and small-size juice ("Mango Magic") is Sachiko's. This was so delicious but I think this was a little expensive. I want to drink again but maybe I will buy in the distant future. Then, other my friends arrived. We bought some things! First, I bought sunglasses. I have never it because I'm wearing glasses! I had thought these are no need for me but I heard eyes become bad by the sunbeam in Canada. That's scary because my eyes are already bad! I don't want to become bad for mine! This is useful to me now. Also, I bought clothes and sandals.

On Sunday, I went to East Columbia Street with my friends because "Sapperton Day Street Festival" was held. There were a lot of people! We had saw the jewelry shop who's a old woman. After Sachiho was bought earrings, she suddenly said "I want to the washroom so could you look my shop?" to us! Really? We could not understand because we cannot speak English well! Well, we said "OK! I will wait for you!" with smiling. We wished to come nobody but children came here. We have to give change to them but we didn't know where are these! Jesus! We were waiting her but she is not yet coming back here! We thought to give change to them from our wallet. However, she came back at that time! We did laugh because she bought two cans of juice for herself. After then, I also bought earrings at her shop.

Being Polite

Sometimes, I feel different points between my culture and Canadians culture. For example, most Japanese use words of apology but I heard Canadians usually don't use these. In fact, I'm often using these words. Why do Canadians have an uncomfortable feeling as they heard it? I don't know but I think this is my countries polite. Of course, all Japanese don't apologize and we don't apologize every time. I think feeling to manners is different depending on people, so people who have different culture is difficult to understand. However, we might cannot understand each other but we will be able to accept each other.

I think first step for accept is knowing the person's culture. Listed below are my culture's politeness. I'm glad if you accept even a little me as you read these.

  1. Properly use chopsticks
  2. Properly use words and speaking
  3. Bow to someone when you have to apologize or greeting
  4. Write polite characters
  5. Being clean
  6. Respect older than me
  7. Doing on time (Don't late)
  8. Having responsibility to my activity
  9. Don't talk when we are eating
  10. Use formal words (KEIGO) to people who older than me (e.g. teacher, boss, etcetera)

We should respect all people because I think this is the Japanese plite.
Thank you for reading.

Swiming + X

I went out with my host family last weekend. I was invited to go the swimming at the community center when I was doing my homework. It was not yet finished but I like swimming! Also, I had never been to somewhere with them so I decided to go out. We bring some plastic bottles and went to the recycle center with their car at first. In Canada, if we take some plastic bottles, wine bottles, cans, drink boxes to there, we can get some money. I was surprised because we cannot get some money if I do that in Japan. I heard from my host mother that almost Canadians do that. We got just $10 today. Then, we went to the McDonald's and my host mother bought the soft cream for me and her daughter. They said "That's better thing because we can become happy when we recycle something and get some money." to me. After that, we went to the community center for swimming. Third daughter likes swimming but other daughters don't like swimming. We swam about one and half hours. I was very fun so I want to go to the community center for swim in this summer again!

*Post Script*

I went to the bar last Friday with my friends. We were ten people. In Japan, we usually don't need our ID (example: passport, student card, driver license, VISA, etc) but we have to bring and show to shop's staff when we enter to the shop or we buy some alcohol in Canada.

Test - LOVE

Most people say "Love is important in all of the world." In fact, the hero save the heroine, friends and the world by love in most story. Love gives everyone the power. Is that true? I don't know that correct answer but I don't think so. Some people don't believe love because love is invisible. For example, money is visible so they believe it. Don't they believe love because they don't have known it? That's probably right. People who don't have never had good experience or good environment cannot love someone because they don't know how to love. However, some people say "You should love if you want to be loved to someone." Who will tell about love? Maybe I think the first people is parents, next people are friends, or surrounding people. If there are not such people, how can we know that? Some people had not been told from someone about love but there are some people who know it. What's love? I don't know because it's different depending on people. I think there are many kind of love the same as number of people. Well, what's love for me? It's very important because we have a spirit. A spirit is influenced to love. People who don't know it may become a lonely man. I think we like reading books and watching movies because love are visible.
